The medieval banquet is the beating heart of Taverne de l'Oratoire. From October to March, we host a themed medieval evening every month: a lavish banquet, period music, shows and costumes recreate the immersive atmosphere of the great tables of the Middle Ages, steps from Grasse cathedral.
True to tradition, our banquet unfolds across several courses and showcases homemade French cuisine of medieval inspiration: our signature poularde in mustard-and-honey sauce, paired with our artisanal drinks, mead and hypocras, served in period goblets and tankards.

Once a month, Taverne de l'Oratoire devotes its evening to the medieval banquet, in the historic centre of Grasse. The hall is rearranged into one great period table and the feast unfolds across several courses, in the manner of the banquets of the Middle Ages. Depending on the number of guests, the layout adapts: a long banquet table, round tables or an open standing space. The tavern seats up to 70 people, 50 in the main hall and 20 on the terrace.
