The menu of Grasse's medieval restaurant
Taverne de l'Oratoire offers a menu of traditional homemade French cuisine with a unique medieval twist. Our chef prepares dishes daily using fresh, local produce, drawing on ancient recipes reimagined with expertise. The poularde with mustard and honey sauce, our generous stews and homemade desserts are all invitations to a feast worthy of the grandest medieval tables.
What sets our menu apart from other restaurants in Grasse are our artisanal medieval drinks. Mead, an ancient beverage made from fermented honey, is the star of our tavern. Hypocras, a medieval spiced wine with cinnamon and ginger aromas, is the other must-try. These two specialities, sourced from French artisans, cannot be found anywhere else in the Grasse area.
The average main course price is between €17 and €24, offering excellent value for a unique culinary experience on the Côte d'Azur. Our menu evolves with the seasons and available produce to ensure freshness. Book your table on 04 93 66 57 97 or check out our medieval evenings for an even more immersive experience.
